SAN ANTONIO, CUMAWAS AND KAUNTUAN (SACK) WATERSHEDS

 

Bislig City Watershed Management Council spearheaded by Mayor Alberto M. Tan, M.D. through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Bislig City, Congressman Jed R. Falcon, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), LEAF Foundation, PICOP Resources Inc. (PRI), Bislig City Water District (BCWD), Society of Filipino Foresters Inc., Rotary Club of Bislig, concerned Barangay Captains, other concerned National/Local Government Agencies, Non Government Organizations and stakeholders finally completed and produced the Watershed Co-Management Plan specifically for San Antonio, Kauntuan, and Cumawas Watersheds. It was immediately presented and adopted on November 25, 2004 before NEDA CARAGA Regional Director, Ms. Carmencita C. Cochingco.

 

Land Status Classification

The SACK Watersheds  has an aggregate area of 991.57 hectares. Clasified into three categories: 518.2 hectares are Alienable and Disposable (A & D) lands; 306.49 hectares falls within PICOP Resources, Inc. as Forest Reserve; and 167.06 hectares of Permanent Forest.
