Date Posted: Tue. July 13, 2010

The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) had chosen BCWD as one of the several recipients among the more than 600 water districts in the Philippines of portable equipment that guarantees fast and accurate results on the rapid testing and monitoring of quality of water served to concessionaires.

Costing One Million One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P1,100,000), the equipment was handed over to BCWD last April 15, 2010 at the Grand Regal Hotel after the completion of a mandatory training seminar attended by Engineering personnel Engr. Ike R. Escudero and Noel A. Almocera. The training seminar/workshop illustrated the proper use and maintenance of the equipment and the conduct of analyses and evaluation reading results.

The terms of acquisition are very favorable to BCWD considering that 80% (P880,000) of the P1,100,000 cost is shouldered by LWUA as a grant while the 20%  or P220,000 is a loan of BCWD from LWUA, interest-free, payable in 3 years.

This   facility is vital in the conduct of speedy, accurate and reliable water testing /monitoring whenever and wherever needed to improve the water services of BCWD.
