Tabon deepwell boosts BCWD’s Tabon water supply

       About 500 households in Barangay Tabon enjoy an improved water supply with the recent operation of  the Tabon Deepwell source. 

       The 7H Water Supply, Inc. and Mr. Vincent Tabat, owner of the deepwell site, inaugurated the said source,  last December 1, 2009 at the compound of Tabat Family, Tabon, Bislig City.

       The Management promptly  laid water pipelines and conducted interconnection from the said source to the distribution lines of the water district last December 18, 2009.

       BCWD spent approximately Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200,000.00) for the appurtenances and labor to fast track the implementation.

       The water from said source underwent three water testing at  San Francisco and Davao City Water Districts which all yeilded favorable results. 

        The Tabon source   will be used for three (3) months free of charge; however,   BCWD shoulders the operating expenses incurred like  fuel, chlorine, electricity, and manpower.

        Further, the bulk sales scheme is now being evaluated.   Said arrangement will allow BCWD to purchase quality water from the deepwell source.

         The Engineering Division is currently evaluating strategies to improve the water supply of Tabon especially in the elevated areas.
